The Future Fund is a project of The Future Fund Foundation. The Future Fund Foundation (registered under number 77769996 with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, also under its Dutch name Stichting ToekomstFonds) is the responsible party in the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation. What data does the Future Fund Foundation collect?

The Future Fund Foundation collects your first and last name (if you provide them) in the following situations:

  • You create a profile on the website;
  • You post a comment on the website;
  • You make a donation;
  • You contact the Future Fund Foundation.

The Future Fund Foundation collects your address information in the following situations:

  • You create a profile on the website and provide these data;
  • You make a donation.

How does the Future Fund Foundation collect your data?

The Future Fund Foundation may obtain your personal data in different ways. In most of these cases we receive the data directly from you, because you provide it to the Future Fund Foundation yourself.

The Future Fund Foundation processes your personal data on the basis of the following legal grounds:

  • You have given consent. We only ask for your permission if it is necessary for processing your personal data. You can always withdraw this permission. How you can do that is described in this privacy statement;
  • The processing is necessary for executing the agreement as described in the Donation Terms & Conditions;
  • The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

How long does The Future Fund Foundation keep your data?

The personal data described above will be kept for as long as necessary to provide our service carefully and completely and to comply with legal requirements imposed on us, including the archiving obligation of the Dutch Tax Administration.

When and how does The Future Fund Foundation share personal data with third parties?

Except as mentioned in this privacy policy, your personal data will not be rented, sold or otherwise shared with or provided to third parties. The Future Fund Foundation may share your personal data with third parties only when you have given your consent, such as with the charity to which you donate.

With the Future Fund Foundation you get access to your own account page. On this page you can view your data and change them if you want to. You can submit other requests via our contact form. We will process your request within one month. In case of the aforementioned requests, we will ask you to identify yourself, so that we can be sure that we are not modifying or deleting data of a wrong person.

How does the Future Fund Foundation ensure confidential handling of personal data?

The Future Fund Foundation handles personal data confidentially and takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to this end, so that personal data are protected. The Future Fund Foundation only shares personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and only with third parties when it is lawful to do so and with due care.

To protect your personal data, we take appropriate security measures. For example, you always make a donation via a secure payment environment. This way others do not get the chance to secretly observe your transactions. Via SSL (Secure Socket Layers) your transaction data will be sent encrypted over the internet. You will recognize a secure SSL connection by the https:// in your address bar.
